What is AIO?

AIO is an abbreviation for All-in-One. It is refers to printers that have more than just printing capability. Add scanning, faxing and photocopying features to a printer and it becomes an AIO machine. The other name for them is Multifunctional centers.

AIO printers are fast becoming the preferred device at home and in the office. Those with limited desk space should consider an AIO device as they have most of the necessary features packed into one machine. The other reason why AIO printers are popular is because connecting many different devices to a computer can be complex.

But there are limitations to AIO printers. They may not be the best for certain jobs compared to dedicated printers. Also, repairing the printer function can deprive you for the scanning and faxing capabilities, if something goes wrong.
